NYC: More Dog Runs than Any Other City

Via Curbed: he study also notes that New York has only 4.6 acres of parkland per 1,000 residents versus 7.9 acres for other high-density cities. On the other hand, we do have more dog parks than any other city.. The cited study appears to be here.

  • Article from Australia about the growing need and demand for dog-friendly housing and accomodations: Must love dogs (Sydney Morning Herald, 17 June 2006). Australia is apparently the largest pet-owning community per-capita, which is causing a demand for apartments with outdoor space. Chief executive John McGrath says capital gains in pet-friendly buildings will far outstrip strata buildings that don't allow pets.
